Vox is a general interest website that covers public policy, politics, world affairs, culture, technology, science, health, and business. Their senior deputy editor of world politics is looking for pitches for their World section, so if you want to explain anything interesting/important happening around the world, then get in touch with them. Insider’s lifestyle/entertainment editor is looking for an employee (current or former) of Spirit Halloween or Party City. They want you to write about the mistakes customers make around Halloween. Stylist Magazine is a weekly magazine and a website for smart, successful, and sophisticated women. Their features editor is always seeking “pitches for fascinating reported features on emotive, relatable topics that will resonate with the Stylist reader – friendship, relationships, career etc. First person hooks welcome.” The features editor hasn’t mentioned the rates in their post but according to their entertainment editor, they pay £150 for 800 to 1,000 words. Audubon is the National Audubon Society’s official magazine. They celebrate bird life and probe the issues facing our planet today. Their senior editor is seeking stories for Field Notes, their front-of-book news section, where they publish lean and mean pieces on the issues and ideas their conservation-minded and bird-loving audience needs to be aware of. Their editor has posted this on X: “At the moment I want pieces for our spring issue, but I’m also after stories that will be ripe for later issues, as well as evergreen ideas.
