$100,000 Writing Contest: Is there still no place like home?

The Nine Dots Prize is back! This year, they are asking a simple question: Is there still no place like home?

To win the $100,000 prize, you are asked to send a 3,000 word essay that answers the question. If  your essay wins, you get a whopping $100,000 to write a book on the topic.

The prize is sponsored by Cambridge University and the Kadas Prize Foundation.

According to their website:

The Nine Dots Prize is a prize for creative thinking that tackles contemporary societal issues. Entrants are asked to respond to a question in 3,000 words, with the winner receiving US$100,000 to write a short book expanding on their ideas.

The aim of the Prize is to promote, encourage and engage innovative thinking to address problems facing the modern world. The name of the Prize references the nine dots puzzle – a lateral thinking puzzle which can only be solved by thinking outside the box.

The deadline for entry is January 21st, 2019.

The winner will be announced in May.
