The Airstory Review is now seeking essays about the world of writing. They are a new publication of Airstory, which is a company that creates software for writers.
They are focused on publishing non-fiction articles about the world of writing, but they plan to occasionally publish fiction.
They pay $400 per article. Articles should be at least 2,000 words.
They “value creative thought leadership,” which I take to mean cultural commentary related to the writing world. For example, their current featured essay ties together themes of gender, fan fiction, and online writing communities.
According to their website, they accept writing on the following subjects:
- Non-fiction writing of any length
- Fiction writing of any length
- The life of the writer
- Writing communities
- Blogging and content marketing
- Intersections of writing worlds or writing with other worlds
- Experimental writing
- Trends in writing, reading, literature and literary scholarship
- Politics and writing
- Gender and writing
- LGBTQ writing
