Dear Writers,
In these strange and difficult times, it seems almost impossible that there are jobs available out there. And yet, there are still companies that are listing job openings for writers.
Thanks to the efforts of Fatima Saif, here are ten job openings, for full and and remote positions. However, these companies may indeed be changing their hiring plans, so I would not depend on them continuing to be open.
As the editor of Freedom With Writing, I am confronted with the question: What do I continue to publish? How do I best support my readers?

The Verge covers “the intersection of technology, science, art, and culture.” They are a part of the Vox Media family. They are looking for a full-time managing editor to oversee the daily operations of their newsroom. They want 2-3+ years of experience in a senior editorial or management position at a publication. Wirecutter is a product review site owned by The New York Times Company. They are looking for a full-time lead editor who will assign and maintain their product coverage in 4 areas:
- Heating, cooling, and air quality
- Emergency preparedness
- Home improvement
- Landscaping gear

CoStar Group is “the leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces.” They are looking for full-time staff writers in Los Angeles or San Francisco, New York City, and Miami. They want 2+ years of experience.
Boston College is a Jesuit Catholic university in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. They are looking for a writer with at least 3 years of experience.
