Food & Wine is a monthly magazine about food, recipes, drinks, restaurants, and culinary travel. They’re interested in receiving pitches from writers, recipe developers, as well as photographers.

They’re owned by Meredith, the largest magazine publishers in the United States.

As per their commerce news/deals food editor, they pay $300 for first-person sale roundups and first-person reviews.

They’ve put together a helpful guide for freelancers here, though keep in mind that it’s specific to their Deals Commerce section. Their are included links to example articles, which is very helpful.

As always, before sending a pitch to a magazine or online publication, you should have a very clear idea of where your proposed article will be placed by them, and also have a clear idea of how it relates to their other articles, in terms of style, content, and category.

Of note, they do not allow any publication of AI generated writing. Though, in my experience as an editor, AI generated writing is generally very low quality, and lacking in the specific details that makes writing any good.
