East of the Web is a popular website dedicated to publishing short stories for children ages five to twelve.
They pay a minimum of $200 per story –– at a rate of 5 cents per word.
They accept previously published work as well as new work.
According to their submission guidelines:
“We’re seeking children’s stories aimed at age ranges between 5 and 12. We’re looking for stories written by authors who know children and what children want to read. We want storytellers who can capture a child’s imagination and who also know the children’s book market, know what’s original and understand what’s interesting and appropriate for children of the age their stories are aimed at. We consider stories of all genres as long as kids will love them! “
They have over half a million unique visitors a month and their app has been installed on over 100,000 devices, giving them a large audience for your stories.
After submitting, they say they’ll contact you within two weeks, though I have seen indications that they will only contact you if your story is accepted.

If you are a new author, here are the revelant submission guidelines.
