College Students Needed for USA Today Correspondent Program

The deadline is approaching very quickly to apply for the Collegiate Correspondent Program offered by the national newspaper, USA Today. The program is an opportunity for college students to get direct experience working with editors and publishing in a professional setting. The deadline to apply is July 20th.

According to the website:

“Collegiate correspondents will research, pitch, report and produce one multimedia story per week for USA TODAY College. The program is approximately 17 weeks long with participating students reporting remotely from their respective campuses. Their work will appear on USA TODAY and across Gannett’s nationwide network of 93+ media organizations.”

Students who complete the program will also be paid a stipend, thought the amount is not stated on the website.

The deadline to apply is July 20th, 2015. After applying, select students will be invited to further rounds of applications, eventually leading to interviews, and final acceptance into the program, which starts on August 24th.
