Next City is a website covering urban planning, policy, and design. They publish features up to 4,000 words, as well as shorter “daily pieces” up to 1,500 words. They publish “”timely news, analysis and information to homeland security leaders and decision makers in the public, private, non-profit and academic sector.” According to one report, they pay $100 per 800 word article.
