They would “love to hear from some fresh, dynamic voices on all things business – people from diverse backgrounds/experiences particularly welcome.” “Upcoming themes include: HR, AI, IoT, retirement, and fintech.” Their standard rate is 35p/word. Liftoff! is a digital magazine that publishes stories about gaming, science, and technology. The magazine is aimed at teenagers, families, and educators. Their submission window for winter 2020 is now open. They are accepting 8 to 12 pitches about gaming. The pitches should have “a clear connection to school curricula (American common core, UK national curriculum, or the Program of Studies in Alberta, Canada) though this doesn’t need to be explicitly outlined.” They pay $0.05 per negotiated word which means that if they assign 1,200 words, they will pay $60, even if they publish only 1,000 words.
