Unearth Women has a mission: to fill the gap in travel writing. The vast majority of travel publications are founded and edited by men, and yet most travelers are women. They’re seeking to be the travel magazine focused on women’s and feminist issues.

They publish both digitally and in print.

They pay for the writing they publish — anywhere from $75 to $300.

They are a new publication, with their first issue just published.

According to their call for submissions:

“Unearth Women is looking for thought-provoking, well-reported journalism as well as personal travel narratives that connect to larger issues or themes. We are also looking to profile and celebrate incredible women around the world. Stories that run on the Unearth Women’s site and in Unearth Women Magazine face issues head-on, report on women’s issues, and shine a light on women.”

They accept pitches via email. If they like your pitch, they’ll respond.
