3 Short Story Publishers that Pay $200+ Per Story

The following 3 publishers are currently seeking short stories. All of them pay at least $200 per story.

1. Less Than Three Press is currently seeking submissions of romance stories their upcoming LGBTQIA anthology, A Fool For You. The stories must revolve around the theme of tricksters and have a happy ending. Payment is $200 per story. To learn more, visit this page.

2. Apex Magazine is currently open for submissions of science fiction, fantasy, and horror stories. They pay 6 cents per word, up to 7,500 words, plus another 1 cent per word if they turn it into a podcast. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.

3. Electric Literature just opened a very short reading period. They want original fiction from 2,000 to 10,000 words. They pay $300 per story. Simultaneous submission are accepted. The deadline is December 15th. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.
