The Gallery of Curiosities

This is a speculative fiction anthology podcast and magazine. Most of their stories have an “anachropunkish retro-vintage element.” Their guidelines say, “We want to be taken on an adventure in a time that never was, be it steampunk, gaslamp, weird tales, dreadpunk, vintage horror, mad science, fantastic cities (please!), monsters, impossible machines, clockworks, alt-history adventures, surprises, weird westerns, and things that shouldn’t work.” See guidelines for the kind of stories that are hard sells, and what they do not want.

This science fiction/fantasy publisher is open for novella and novel submissions. For fantasy, the genres are Epic, Dark, Contemporary, and Urban Fantasy and Modern Myth. For SF, they want Military SF and Space Opera, Near Future, Dark Future, and Post-Apocalyptic – they also welcome SF humor. Virginia Quarterly Review

This well-respected literary magazine will be open for submissions during July. They want literary, not genre fiction and also publish various kinds of nonfiction and poetry. They also accept content for their website.

Diabolical Plots

They publish science fiction, fantasy and horror. Everything must have a speculative element, even horror. Writers can mix in other genres (a fantasy mystery, for instance).
