Meredith Corporation is a media company that publishes many famous magazines including People, Real Simple, and Better Homes & Gardens. They are hiring for the position of Staff Writer, Off Hours. The staff writer will work an early morning shift which will begin at 6:30 a.m. EST. The writer will help in putting together the morning news list and identify story opportunities and urgent news. WalletHub is a personal finance website. They are hiring a Staff Writer. They want someone who can work 50+ hours per week and produce content on topics like credit cards, credit scores, personal loans, car insurance, and more. Wirecutter is a product review site owned by The New York Times Company. They have offices in New York City but are primarily a remote company. They are hiring for the following positions:

• Lead Editor, Baby & Kid. The successful applicant will develop the strategy for their Baby & Kid section and will also assign projects to writers. The applicant should have “5+ years of experience working at a media company with at least two years of experience editing and working directly with writers.” The job is full-time and has the potential to be remote. • Lead Editor, Computing/Networking. The selected applicant will manage assignments and edit product coverage on their PC team. The applicant should have “3+ years of experience working at a media company with at least one year of experience working with and editing writers.” The position is full-time and has the potential to be remote. They are seeking a part-time Newsletter Producer who will “collaborate with the newsletter editor to curate, build, and deploy email newsletters via content management systems while ensuring content standards are met.” The applicant should have “experience producing and/or curating digital content in a deadline-driven environment.” Experience producing email newsletters will be ideal. • A US News Editor to lead their US newsroom. They want a brilliant copy editor who is keen to train their reporters and freelance contributors. The candidate should have experience of working in a digital news environment. The job is full-time and based in New York, NY.
• A Culture Reporter for their new West Coast bureau. The successful candidate will be “expected to write everything from reviews and features to profile interviews and quick-hit news pieces.” The candidate should have breaking news experience (preferably digital). The job is full-time. Their office is based in LA but they are open to those who want to work remotely on an LA timeline. 

Refinery29 is a media and entertainment company that focuses on young women. They are hiring a Fashion Writer. The successful applicant will write 2 to 5 originally reported stories per day. The Conversation US is a news website that is committed to democratizing knowledge. They are looking for:

• A full-time Science Editor to work as part of their science and technology team. The selected applicant will cover biomedicine, genetics, genomics, and neuroscience topics and also aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The applicant should have at least 5 years of journalism experience. Salary: $70,000 to $75,000.
• A full-time Breaking News Editor who will “commission and edit 4-5 short, clear explainers from academics each week on topical news related to subjects The Conversation covers and beyond.” Salary: $70,000 to $75,000.

They are currently working remotely but anticipating a post-pandemic world, they will prefer to hire applicants in Boston or Brooklyn.

Psyche is an online magazine from Aeon that illuminates the human condition. They are seeking a Commissioning Editor with a deep interest in psychology.
