Duolingo is a platform that includes a language-learning app and a website. They are hiring for the position of Head Writer, Studios. The Head Writer will “create stories that will engage, educate, and entertain millions worldwide at Duolingo.” They want someone with “at least 5-7 years’ experience in an equivalent role, including writing and producing, in animation, live action, or episodic storytelling” and “at least 1-2 years’ experience leading, or co-leading, a writing or producing team.” The job is based in New York, NY.   • Deputy Managing Editor. The successful candidate will “help lead an SFGATE expansion effort across California that will include satellite editions covering Lake Tahoe, California Parks, Disneyland, and Hawaii.” The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience.
