Mother Jones is now accepting applications to their Ben Bagdikian Fellowship Program. They have openings for a San Francisco Editorial Fellowship, a Washington D.C. Editorial Fellowshop, as well as an Online Fellowship.
According to their website:
“Fellows receive a $1,500 monthly stipend, supported by grants from the Irving Harris and Lannan Foundations, and by the generosity of our nearly 39,000 contributors. After six months, fellows can apply to stay on for a six-month senior fellowship with an increased $1,800 monthly stipend.”
The deadline to apply is October 1st, 2015.
The DC editorial fellows “work under the supervision of our DC bureau editors as well as the research editor.”
The SF “work closely with reporters and editors on everything from fact-checking to researching leads to reporting.”
The online fellows “work alongside our editorial fellows to fact-check, produce, and improve content, but do it primarily on our website, with an added emphasis on web production.”
