Mind Cafe Magazine is a quarterly print magazine that teaches people how to live a happier and more fulfilling life. They are accepting pitches for the next two weeks on the theme of Connection. Digital Spy is the United Kingdom’s biggest TV and movies site. Their deputy movies editor is looking for pitches from “an Afro-Latinx writer about the In the Heights backlash.” According to payment reports, they pay £70 to £90 for comment pieces (about 700 words). Their Managing Editor – Commerce is looking for freelance writers who understand some basic SEO concepts and are able to work quickly. The job will involve heavy research work. The New Statesman is a UK news magazine and website. Their features editor is open to pitches. She is seeking deeply reported and narrative-driven long form (3,000+ words) that “gets to the heart of how we live now.” “No field off-limits, but interested in climate, inequality, science, internet culture, crime, sport, health & more.” International reporting/writers are welcome.
