The Binge Watching Cure II is a forthcoming anthology, following the success of the original anthology.
The concept of the anthology is simple: The stories start very short, and then gradually get longer, increasing in length and addictiveness with each story, and serving as an alternative to binge-watching television shows.
According to their website:
“Just as you enter a cold swimming pool one body part at a time, get used to drinking beer sip by foamy sip, or learn to enjoy spicy food in little, fiery nibbles, The Binge-Watching Cure gradually acclimates you to reading longer and longer stories, until a novel-length book goes down smoothly, tasting sweet, and making you want more.”
The second edition will feature horror-themed stories. They pay $200 for stories under 5,000 words, and $500 for longer stories.
They don’t want “fiction or stories with graphic or sexual violence against children, graphic incest, necrophilia, animal torture, or gore for gore’s sake. ”
Their book, Fatal Gift, serves as an example of what they’re looking for.
