Penguin Publishing, in partnership with Travelex, is currently hosting a travel writing competition. They want travel stories up to 1,000 words.

Entrants must be at least 18 years old and be a US resident.

The prize? $1,500, plus a session with a Penguin editor. A winner in the student category will in $500. That’s $2,000 in prizes, plus a session with an editor at one of the biggest publishing companies in the world.

The deadline for submission is February 5, 2017.

According to the website:

So whether you’re a student with editorial ambitions or you spend your days jotting down notes on your next voyage, we’re giving you the perfect platform to tell us all about it, and also have the chance to win a one-on-one session with a Penguin editor.”
