Meerkat Press is calling for submissions of love stories for their next anthology. The deadline is coming very quickly: April 30th, 2015.
They pay up to $.04 a word, with a maximum length of 5,000 words.
According to their website:
“Bring us your steampunk love triangles, your dystopian cheating scandals, your weird interspecies entanglements, your intergalactic dating war stories. We also like vamps, zombies, and shapeshifters, but they need to be fresh and imaginative.”
To learn more, be sure to read their call for submissions.
They also are accepting submissions for an upcoming poetry anthology. The deadline for the poetry anthology is May 31st, 2015. The payment is a mere $5. One has to wonder why poetry is not valued as much as fiction by publishers. Perhaps they don’t make as much money on it?
