Solarpunk Magazine
\n<\/strong>This is a new magazine of solarpunk stories, poetry, non-fiction, and art. They are open now for general solarpunk submissions from all authors. They also accept translations. They have a themed monthly micro fiction contest<\/a>, too, which pays $25 to the winner. They will have a reading period for BIPOC-only writers during April; their submission schedule for 2022 is on the website.

Haven Speculative
\n<\/strong>They publish speculative fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and translations; they are open for submissions from all writers, and for submissions by underrepresented writers, during alternate months. In March, they\u2019re open for submissions from underrepresented writers \u2013 \u201cauthors of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and other underrepresented groups\u201d. For their four unthemed issues, they are open to a wide variety of stories across the SFF and weird spectra.

\n<\/strong>This is a fiction anthology. \u201cWrite a story about a historical war of any culture and any era and change one aspect of it to see how the war might change and explore from there!\u201d Every genre qualifies, and \u201cWe encourage gender fluidity, gender-bending, LGBTQIA+ retellings\u201d. They pay a flat fee, but about payment to international contributors they say, \u201cDue to high postage rates (and\/or postal accessibility) to some regions in the world, author copies may not be feasible and we\u2019ll adjust the flat fee to accommodate.\u201d

Essays can be on literature, film, art, history, science, and contemporary thought, and can take any form \u2013 creative non-fiction, memoir, biography. Poetry can be short and long, and of any length or aesthetic bent. The magazine also publishes essay-reviews and artwork. They charge a fee for online submissions, but there is no fee for mailed submissions.
