\n<\/strong>This is a young adult online \/ audio fiction avenue. \u201cStories that evoke a sense of wonder, have deep emotional resonance, and have something unreal about them. We aim for a 12-17 age range\u201d. We want to read about traditional beasties that lurk within the dark places of the world and the slithering tentacles that follow them! While Lovecraftian themes are encouraged, we would prefer it if these submissions were more \u2018loosely inspired\u2019 by his works than if they took place within the Cthulhu Mythos, Dream Cycle etc. \u2026 We’re looking for stories that blend traditional folklore with themes of cosmic horror. \n— <\/strong>Cthulhu FhCon<\/strong><\/a>, a shared-world anthology by Impulsive Walrus, a speculative fiction publisher \u2013 the setting is a hotel in the middle of the river, but unknown to anyone but its mad designer, this hotel was built as an altar to the Old God that rests under the dark, flowing current \u2013 and this is the place where fans throw a con; interaction between the Lovecraftian-style Old God in the river and the convention must be a focal part of the story; pay is at least $0.03\/word for stories of 2,000-6,000 words, and the deadline is 15 April 2022.
\n— Soldiers of the Old Ones<\/strong><\/a>, a horror fiction anthology by Hiraeth Publishing \u2013 tales of the people who fight for, sacrifice for, and work toward the takeover of the world by the Old Ones; pay is $25, and submissions are open till 30 June 2022, or until filled.<\/p>\n

Jaggery

The magazine \u201cconnects South Asian diasporic writers and homeland writers; we also welcome non-South Asians with a deep and thoughtful connection to South Asian countries, who bring their own intersecting perspectives to the conversation.
