Mermaids Monthly<\/strong>
\nThey want short fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and comics on the mermaids theme. \u201cEverything should in some way relate to merfolk. We are loose about how you want to define that, and we will consider other aquatic fantastical creatures to be on theme\u201d, according to guidelines.\u00a0 They also accept reprints. They will run a few themed issues this year (the September issue will be dedicated to ecology and climate change<\/strong>, and the November issue will be themed All Ages: Young to Old<\/strong>), and writers can also submit for those.

\n<\/strong>This is a speculative fiction magazine. Their guidelines say, \u201cWe are looking for speculative stories that explore science fiction, fantasy, and horror with a queer bent. We want queer stories and we want trans stories and we want aro\/ace stories. We want indefinable stories. We welcome weird, slipstream, and interstitial writing.\u201d They are specially interested in stories under 500 words.

Climate change, pollution, suburban sprawl, deforestation, etc. Give me your tales and observations on these impacts. What horrors have\/will we see as a result?
