Rates depend on form and vary significantly, for example, the rate for poetry is $150 per poem and the rate for investigations is $1 per word. They are seeking \u201cstories that use grains as an entryway to a larger story.\u201d \u201cThink food apartheid, indigenous grains, environmental issues around grain production, workers rights & unionization, penal labor, etc.\u201d They are mainly seeking reported stories. Magazine<\/strong> is an independent and nonpartisan publisher of solutions journalism. They are accepting pitches for their Fall 2021 issue which will explore the question: \u201cWhat is enough?\u201d \u201cTo different people, \u2018enough\u2019 can have entirely different meanings\u2014from our financial wherewithal and our position in society to how we feel about ourselves, our happiness, our joy, to what right we think we have to exploit Earth\u2019s resources.\u201d Their base rate for reported articles is $0.50 per word. They are looking to ramp up their \u201cnot-your-mama’s retirement coverage.\u201d If you have a \u201cstory\/source with a unique real-life retirement story folks can learn from\u201d or \u201cspecific tips for millennials\/Gen Z\u201d, then send your pitches to aedelman@meredith.com<\/a>.
