We’ve included payment information, and editorial contact information with all of these listings. You’ll note that many of these editors are offering $1 per word, and sometimes more. Keep in mind that you may need to negotiate pay, as these rates are not set in stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They publish stories that \u201ctap into the thrill of being alive.\u201d Their deputy editor is always accepting pitches for longform, narrative, reported pieces. Their associate managing editor of print has tweeted, \u201cI’m looking for pitches. I want pieces that are deeply reported and tap into intersections between wine and culture\/science\/labor\/hospitality. These are NOT trend, service or pandemic pieces. Less about the wine, more about how it’s made and gets into people’s glasses.\u201d She is not seeking pieces that focus on a single business\/individual. She prefers pitches on the shorter side. Their guest editor is \u201cinterested in first person pieces about economic hardship across a range of topics including but not limited to religion, immigration, education, parenting\/families, race, health, maternal health, culture, housing, agriculture\/food, work, etc.\u201d She wants stories that focus on the US. Their commissioning editor has tweeted, \u201cI’m always looking for pitches on work, money, and careers. They are seeking pitches for their upcoming series, Forgotten Diasporas. They are \u201clooking to tell the forgotten histories of diaspora communities all around the world! They are seeking articles with evergreen appeal, which are not tied to a particular event.
