Kalekar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Short Fiction<br><\/strong>They publish fiction, and guidelines say, \u201cWe have wide-ranging tastes and have happily published traditional character-driven stories next to non-conformist work of extraordinary innovation. We admire and love poets and memoirists, but can\u2019t accept poetry or life writing. The boundaries can be blurred in hybrid forms and that\u2019s great; if you feel your hybrid piece qualifies as fiction, send it in.\u201d Writers who have never had a short story published before should write to their \u2018Introducing\u2019 section. Their guidelines say, \u201cOur budget allows us to pay for up to 7,000 words per month, which means we are always going to buy more shorter fiction than longer stories. We especially love to see very short pieces that still tell great stories and make us laugh, cry, or transport us to new worlds.\u201d They love short short stories. They are open to all the sub-genres of fantasy, from magical realism to urban fantasy to slipstream to high fantasy. Fantastical or non-real content should be meaningful to the story.
