Their editor just posted a call for pitches on Twitter. (Twitter, by the way, can be a great way to connect with editors.)<\/p>\n<p>In the Twitter post, the editor offered up to $2 per word for the right story. That&#8217;s the type of rates that freelancers at the top of the field often get.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re brand new to freelance writing, why not at least aim for this? Don&#8217;t expect to get a positive response, but there is no reason not to aim high. Keep in mind that the editor expects high-quality pitches that are a perfect fit.
