They want stories that fit the themes of weird fiction and cosmic horror. Horror, science fiction and fantasy are welcome, as long as they are weird and cosmic. They welcome a combination of genres. To celebrate their 10th<\/sup> year of publishing anthologies, Blood Bound Books is publishing a \u2018Best of\u2019 fiction anthology, a limited-edition hardcover, which will feature picks from their old books and also new work. All sub-genres of horror are accepted \u2013 extreme, bizzaro, erotic, new weird or splatterpunk.

This is a journal of dark fiction. They want stories that are dark, literary \u2013 creepy, weird or unsettling. There are no sub-genre or theme restrictions. However, they do not accept stories with vampires, zombies, werewolves, serial killers, hitmen, excessive gore or sex, excessive abuse against women, revenge fantasies, cannibals, or high fantasy. They have extended their reading period to mid-June for their next issue, but their submissions portal has a cap, and closes after 300 submissions a month; submissions open again the following month.

Second person is a tough sell, as are didactic and preachy stories. No fantasy or supernatural horror.
