Gamut is a new publisher of neo-noir speculative fiction, funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign. Their goal is to support voices that aren’t getting recognition, and to “pay a great rate.”<\/p>\n

Payment rates are indeed above the average for the genre; they pay ten cents per word, up to 5,000 words. They prefer stories around 3,000 words.<\/p>\n

According to their submission guidelines:<\/p>\n

“Gamut<\/em> will include mostly fiction (some original, some reprints) but also columns, non-fiction, art, flash fiction, poetry, and maybe even a serial memoir or novella. I have a word count per month in mind, based on my budget, and I\u2019m looking to release new content several times a week\u2014ideally, every day. We are looking for fantasy, science fiction, horror, neo-noir, crime, mystery, thrillers, magical realism, transgressive, Southern gothic, weird, bizarro\u2014all with a literary bent.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
