The following is a list of seven anthologies and magazines currently seeking submissions of short stories. All of these magazines pay up to $240 per story, and sometimes much more.<\/p>\n

1. Lost Worlds<\/strong> is a forthcoming anthology from Flametree Publishing. They want stories “ packed with dark valleys, high mountain passes, dinosaurs, dark creations and hidden tribes.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Length: 2,000-4,000 words To learn more, read their submission guidelines.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n 2. Supernatural Horror <\/strong>is another forthcoming anthology from Flametree Publishing. Accepted stories will be published alongside classic sotries from Edgar Allen Poe and M.R. Time Travel <\/strong>is another forthcoming anthology from Flametree Publishing. According to their guidelines: “travelling back and forth in time have brought us ancient and future civilisations, terrifying visions and cautionary tales. Heroic Fantasy <\/strong>is another forthcoming anthology from Flametree Publishing. Deep Magic <\/strong>aims to be the “dominant magazine for clean fantasy and sci-fi stories.” That means good clean stories \u2013 no sex, swearing, or graphic violence. <\/span><\/p>\n Length: 1,000 to 40,000 words. They want “compelling characters, plots that surprise us, narratives that move us, stories that have something new to say.” They are currently accepting submissions of fiction and poetry.<\/p>\n Length: Up to 5,000 words
