As part of my weekly effort to find paying gigs for writers, here is a list of 5 websites that pay writers up to $150 for articles. For even more websites that pay writers, check out this list of 44 blogs that pay $50+<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. HorseChannel.com <\/strong>is a website for horse lovers and riders. They publish horse industry news, essays, care information, and more. They pay $25-$150 for articles. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.<\/a><\/p>\n

2. The Layout <\/strong>is a design blog focused on WordPress design. They pay up to $150 per article. Their guidelines have a clear description of their desired style, as well as a list of article ideas ready to be written. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.<\/a><\/p>\n

3. The Graphic Design School Blog <\/strong>publishes tutorials and educational articles about professional graphic design. They pay $100-$200 per post. The submission form on their website is currently broken, however submissions can be sent to info@thegraphicdesignschool.com<\/span><\/span><\/a>. Be sure to read their guidelines as well as their blog before submitting. Their guidelines are available here.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4. Atlantic.net <\/strong>is a provider of cloud server hosting. They pay up to $300 for technical articles about server operation. They pay $75 for 400 word articles, $150 for 800 word articles, and $300 for 1500 word articles. To learn more read their application guidelines.<\/a><\/p>\n

5. MoneyPantry <\/strong>wants freelance writers “who have unusual and interesting, yet practical ideas for earning, saving, and investing money.” They pay $30-$150 for articles published on their website, however they don’t make the difference between a $30 and a $150 article clear on their guidelines. Bonus:\u00a0 <\/strong>This is for knitters, not writers. Knitty.com <\/strong>is seeking submissions of design patterns for knitting. They pay $100-$200 per published submission.
