Pulp Literature is a beautiful magazine that publishes fiction of all genres. They also publish graphic novels and illustrations.<\/p>\n
They are open to submissions during the month of April, 2017<\/p>\n
According to their website:<\/p>\n
“We pay up to $0.07 per word for short stories (to 7000 words), $.05 per word between 7000 and 10000 words,\u00a0 and $0.035 per word for works over 10000 words.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
That works out to a payment for $640 for the first 10k words. They pay half for reprints.<\/p>\n
They prefer stories that are 5,000 words or under.<\/p>\n
They’re not looking for just “pulp fiction.” They want entertaining, accessible stories in all genres. They shy away from “downer” stories, and look for stories with engaging plots and good character development.<\/p>\n
Again, according to their website:<\/p>\n
“Any genre or between-genre work of literature, or visual art (black and white) up to 75 pages in length.\u00a0 Short stories, novellas, poetry, comics, illustrations \u2014 bring it on.\u00a0 We do not publish non-fiction, memoir, or children\u2019s stories.\u00a0 Aside from that we want anything entertaining and well written.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
