Cast of Wonders
<\/strong>This is a young adult (YA) speculative fiction online magazine and podcast, from the Escape Artists suite of magazines. They have extensive guidelines about what they consider to be YA, and welcome submissions from writers under 18 years of age, as well. They also accept translations and reprints.

Tenebrous Press: Skull & Laurel<\/strong>
The Skull and Laurel is a quarterly magazine of New Weird short fiction by Tenebrous Press. They want Weird Horror, Dark Fantasy, and Dark Science Fiction. They also accept translations and reprints. The press publishes works of other lengths, too (novels, novellas, and novelettes). They will soon open for short fiction submissions; submissions of other lengths are currently open, as are submissions for a reprint anthology\/award. Their submission portal for short fiction will open during the submission period.

Belmont Story Review
<\/strong>This is a US-based magazine; their website says, \u201cBelmont Story Review is a national magazine of literary arts, faith and culture.\u201d They publish\u00a0\u201cnew and established writers passionate about their craft, fearlessly encountering difficult ideas, seeking to explore the human experience. We feature works of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. “Faith” is not a specific religious perspective but a broad idea of faith is important for all of our selected publications.\u201d They accept fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. They are open for general submissions (from all writers) until end-October, and have an extended submission period for Canadian writers who are BIPOC, trans, and\/or disabled during the first two weeks of November (see guidelines).

Solarpunk Conflicts Anthology<\/strong>
This is a fiction and poetry anthology. There are detailed guidelines on the theme, including, \u201cSolarpunk is optimistic. Solarpunk is hopeful. Solarpunk is about change and unity. Solarpunks seem to agree on these points. But what are the points of conflict within solarpunk? When do solarpunks disagree, and why? Is solarpunk a monolith, is it fractured and disparate, or is it somewhere in between? What spaces of tension exist within both genre and community that can flare to sudden flame at the right (or wrong) provocation? And, what do these conflicts look like in a solarpunk world?
This anthology is about these conflicts. Stories should explore a solarpunk conflict, either one manufactured entirely for the story, or one based in a real-world point of contention you feel currently divides solarpunks, or that has done so in the past. Conflicts can be as small or as grand as you would like, though the story as a whole should be legibly solarpunk and should not champion a non-solarpunk ethos.\u201d
