5 Websites that Pay Writers $100+ Per Post

The following is a list of websites that pay writers $100 per post, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Keep in mind that the best writing jobs are not made publicly available, but instead found by directly contacting businesses and offering your services.

For many successful freelance writers, their bread and butter is to write $100 blog posts for businesses in need of content. If you can find a few businesses that need one or two posts a week and are willing a pay $100 for each post, you suddenly have a solid base of income. For example, three clients that need 2 posts a week can end up paying you $30,00 a year. (2 articles x 3 clients x $100 x 50 weeks = $30,000)

What kind of business is willing to pay for this? Usually small and medium sized business that have a “social media” presence, or some kind of content marketing program. For example, local insurance companies, car dealerships, health food stores, etc.

1. The Broad Street Review is conceived as an “arts and culture forum.” They are primarily focused on things happening in Philadelphia, but accept submissions from writers around the world. They cover “Art, Books, the Creative Economy, Dance, Design, Film and TV, Museums, Music, and Theater, plus a catchall category called Cross-Cultural. ” They pay $50 to $100 per post. Narratively publishes non-fiction narratives on that focuses on “one incredible character, or a group of characters.” They accept submissions on themes such as “humans behind the headlines,” “secret lives,” and “the naked truth.” Reports indicate payment of $100 to $300 per story. 3. Modern Love, the New York Times’ blog about relationships and dating, reportedly pays $300 per article. According to their guidelines: “Ideally, essays should spring from some central dilemma the writer has faced in his or her life. It helps if the situation has a contemporary edge, though this is not essential.
