The Bulletin of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America is currently open to submissions. They seek pitches for nonfiction articles and columns on a wide range of topics, including publishing and the writing process.
They don’t want interviews, reviews/criticism, and reprints.
They ARE currently seeking submissions for the following columns:
- State of the Art: Science and Technology.
- Anthropology 101: History and Anthropology.
- Writers’ Bloc: General writer news/do’s and don’ts/etiquette.
They pay 10 cents per word ($50–$300 per article).
They consider pitches, drafts, and finished works.
Time sensitive material should be submitted 3 months in advance, with case-by-case exceptions.
They try to respond to queries and submissions within 2 weeks.
