Fiction Vortex is currently accepting submissions of speculative fiction for their upcoming edition. They will pay $300 for one featured story, and $50 for ‘honorable mentions.’

According to their website:

“Fiction Vortex only accepts speculative fiction that we can turn into serial/episodic fiction for a Serial Box. We want sci-fi, fantasy, horror, supernatural, alternate history, alternate realities, etc. And this is the most important: WE WANT THE WORLD THAT YOUR STORY COMES FROM.”

The word limit is 3,500 words.

They focus on publishing serial boxes: “collaborative universes doled out via weekly ebook episodes–each a jam-packed story boiled down to its juiciest goodness. Multiple authors and multiple serials means constant content pouring from lavish, continually-evolving story worlds.”

The current deadline for submissions is October 5th, 2015.
